October 18th is the first day of Early Voting. If you are reading this, you can vote today. Make the time. Your voice must be heard during this critical election. None of us can afford to “sit this one out and see what happens.” From the Governor’s race down, too much is at stake.
Early voting is quick and easy. Locations are available throughout your district and the process is designed to eliminate lines and get you on your way as quickly as possible.

Make sure you know how you are going to vote before you get there. Review the ballot and use the information on our Educated Voter site. Understand who is a friend to public education and who is not. Be a critical thinker and look beyond parties to the people. Is the candidate a leader or a follower?

We encourage you to do this vital homework. Be confident about the votes you cast and know that regardless of the outcome, you did your part.
Florida is our state. Sheer politics and chronic indifference from our legislators has left Florida public education lying bruised and battered at the bottom of every known list. Enough is enough. As citizens, we value innovation and learning. As voters we must insist on high-quality public education capable of delivering the American Dream to the next generation.
You have two weeks to vote early. This is our time as parents and teachers to show legislators what it means to tie performance to pay. These elections are like job interviews. As voters, we are exercising our right to hire or fire.
State senators, representatives and the governor, have the final say over almost everything that happens to your child in public school.
If you don’t like what’s going on, you have the power to do something. That’s the beauty of our democracy.
For the love of these kids, vote.
